Ryne Flood is the cofounder and Chief Technology Officer at Vish. He has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Memorial University of Newfoundland and has over 20 years of experience in development. He founded 6am software in high school to create software that helps schools schedule their parent-teacher conferences, which he runs alongside Vish. His extensive background with functional programming allows him to continually develop Vish to meet salons’ unique needs, and improve the salon industry.

The idea of tackling the waste at the color bar was born in the salon by stylist and salon owner, Tim Howard. The impact of waste is far-reaching – polluting the planet, eroding the bottom line, and clouding the inventory forecasts. In 2017, after partnering with his brother Joshua Howard, Vish was born and the founders realized that this was about so much more than waste.
Today, Vish’s purpose is clear: to eliminate color waste, generate more revenue, and cut costs in the salon.

Vish started with an idea and keeps on growing.
Josh is the founder and CEO of Vish ltd. He has a Masters of Science (M.Sc.) from Memorial University and has spent the majority of his career working in medical research and technology. Through Vish, Josh has been able to apply his expertise in data analysis to the hair color industry, helping salon owners make data driven decisions to increase revenue, and streamline their businesses.

Tom has a keen interest in new technology that helps salons run their businesses more efficiently and profitably. He has spent 20 years building a number of market leading technology companies in the hair and beauty industry including Shortcuts software, and now runs Vish’s U.K. business helping salons make more profit and reduce waste in their colour business using Vish’s app and weighing scale.

Tim has over 25 years of experience in the salon industry. Tim is a former salon owner of two award winning salons, but sold them in 2016 to join Vish as Chief Innovation Officer and head of Customer Success. He understands the needs of the industry and seeks to help improve the hair color business for salon owners, staff, and customers. Tim is also a former guest artist for Aveda, having created curriculum, participated in hair shows, photoshoots and New York Fashion Week, he has also taught workshops, consulted with salons and helped in product development. His decades of experience and passion in the industry allow Tim to help in innovating Vish technology to suit the needs of industry professionals.

She has spent over half of her career in the beauty industry, focusing on sales and business development, which led her to join the Vish team. She helps bring technology and beauty together to help salon owners grow and develop their businesses. In her spare time, Alicia can be found kayaking or caring for her dogs, rabbit, hamster, and chickens.

Kacy has 17 years in the beauty industry as a stylist, educator and certified Aveda hair color master. Her passion for advanced education and mentoring other stylists to achieve financial, personal and professional success in the salon has now transitioned her to the position of Education and Support Lead with Vish. Being in the Aveda world from the beginning of her career, Kacy understands the need for the salon industry to be more ecologically friendly without sacrificing the performance of the stylists. With Vish, she hopes she can help make a positive impact for salons and colorists around the world.
