Waste Warrior Winners
Vish offers many benefits to salons and stylists, but when you boil it down to the core, one of our main benefits is eliminating waste in the salon industry and the communities in which those salons are located.
Each year we gather all the data to determine the top six salons and stylists in North America and the United Kingdom with the lowest waste. Using ‘waste cost per service’ as the core metric, Vish identifies who is using the least amount of color to complete services, tracking waste as a percentage of the service as well as the dollar amount of product wasted. Waste Warriors are celebrated for their dedication to their craft and their commitment to promoting sustainability and waste elimination.
How to Achieve Waste
Warrior Status
Vish reviews the metrics of each salon and stylist to determine the top five salons and top five individual stylists of the year. Using ‘waste cost per service’ as the core metric, Vish identifies who is using the least amount of color to complete services, tracking waste as a percentage of the service as well as the dollar amount of product wasted. Elite Waste Warriors are celebrated for their dedication to their craft and their commitment to promoting sustainability and waste elimination.
#1 Tryanglez Salon (Danville)
Peggy Fry
Performance Rating: Average Waste Cost per Service - $0.13
TRYANGLEZ SALON
“I’m a small salon, in a small town, but money is still money in any town, no matter how big or small the salon is,” said Peggy Fry, owner of Tryanglez. “We all have a responsibility to preserve the environment where we live and help others where we can, be it people, animals or the planet.”
“I recently raised prices and Vish helped justify it. I can show clients how much color was used and how much is considered normal. It is uncomfortable raising prices, but when you have solid proof to back you up, people know the decision hasn’t been made lightly, and you didn’t just pull this number out of the air.”

JESSICA DINH
“I am so excited for this unexpected honor in being named Vish Waste Warrior. I believe it’s the result of the unyielding consistency that Vish brings to every color application in my salon. The way Vish helps me cut down on color waste isn’t just good for business; it’s good for the planet. Every gram of color saved is a small victory in the larger battle to reduce the carbon footprint of the beauty industry,” she said. “But Vish is also a promise of accuracy, ensuring that every client who walks out of my salon is a living, breathing advertisement for the precision I hold dear. Combining environmental conscientiousness with precision in my color formulations makes it easy for me to use and love Vish every day.”
